Ariana Grande is healing.
As the "no tears left to cry" singer continues to mourn the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, she shared an uplifting message to her fans on both Twitter and Instagram. "Everything will be okay," she tweeted minutes before sharing another tweet that read, "I love u so v much." The 25-year-old singer also took to Instagram, sharing the same words, as well as "one day at a time" to her Instagram Stories. Seemingly symbolic, Ariana wrote the words in a photo of a cloudy sky.
As fans know, Ariana has been taking some time to heal following Mac's death on September 7. As previously reported, the 26-year-old rapper, who Ariana dated for nearly two years, was found dead after an apparent overdose. Since his passing, Ariana has slowly been returning to social media.
Hours after news of Mac's death, Ariana posted a black-and-white photo of Mac, without a caption, to Instagram. Then a week later she released a statement about his untimely passing on Instagram, captioning a video she'd shot of Mac when they were dating: "i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i canât believe you arenât here anymore. i really canât wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. iâm so mad, iâm so sad i donât know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. iâm so sorry i couldnât fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope youâre okay now. rest."
Days after, she shared the message her team revealed that Ariana would be taking some time off to "mend." âGiven the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,â her team told People after she skipped out on the 2018 Emmy Awards. âShe will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.â
