Lady Gaga 'Offered A Role' In 'Little Shop Of Horrors' Reboot: Report

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - June 28, 2019

Mother Monster could be coming to the Little Shop of Horrors!

Lady Gaga has reportedly been "offered a role" in the upcoming reboot of the beloved classic film, a source spilled exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly, adding: "She's very interested to keep acting." While unconfirmed as yet, Gaga's role in question could be for the part of Audrey, who works as a flower shop saleswoman alongside coworker Seymour, the man who not only discovers his Venus flytrap can speak but that the man-eating plant feeds on human flesh and blood.

Originally a film in 1960, Little Shop of Horrors was later adapted for an off-Broadway musical in 1982, and then as a rock musical comedy horror movie in 1986, starring Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, and Bill Murray. The latest remake will arrive from Warner Bros.

Gaga's reported involvement in the new adaptation shouldn't come as a surprise. The "Born This Way" musician swept this awards season following her groundbreaking performance in the 2018 blockbuster A Star Is Born, in which she played opposite Bradley Cooper. The success of the film earned Gaga a slew of notable awards, including her first Academy Award for Best Original Song for her hit song "Shallow."

This isn't the only role Gaga's been pitched since her success with A Star Is Born. As previously reported, it was also whispered that the "Alejandro" musician had a "very strong" chance of starring alongside Cooper once again in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
