You may think it's hard for members of the royal family to do normal things—like going out to dinner—without causing a fuss, but apparently Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are able to do it on the regular. Since moving to the United States earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been able to enjoy a few public date nights near their new home.
Just last week, Harry and Meghan enjoyed a night out with close friends Katharine McPhee and David Foster. The two couples met up for a three hour dinner at at Lucky's Steakhouse in Montecito, California. This outing marked the first time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been photographed out in public for a social occasion since their arrival last spring.
Though their outing with McPhee and Foster was the first time they were photographed out in public, Harry and Meghan have reportedly been out and about in their new neighborhood quite a bit. “Sometimes they do solo dates,” a source told People. “And sometimes with friends. No one really bothers them."
While they enjoy a night out, Harry and Meghan have recently spoken about how they've actually enjoyed being able to spend so much time at home as a family this year. “In the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more,” Meghan shared during a conversation with activist Malala Yousafzai. Harry then revealed they were "both there for [Archie’s] first steps. His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”
