Pete Davidson isn't holding back on how painful removing his tattoos has been.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the King of Staten Island actor opened up about the difficult and time-consuming process of having his tattoos removed by a laser.

When asked "on a scale of 1 to 10" how painful has the process been getting rid of his 200 tattoos, Davidson was quick to admit "it's a 10," adding that the pain is "pretty terrible." He also shared how he hopes his journey serves as a warning for others going overboard on tattoos when they're young.

"It's awful. I've been filming it and showing the younger people in my family just to be like, 'If you don't like it, this is what you have to do,'" he said. "I'm excited 'cause I'm making changes so, like, it's exciting but it sucks."

The Saturday Night Live alum, who has been happy with the results so far, also detailed that "what really hurts the most is" the three days after a session where gets all of his tats lasered at once.

"You can't move your arms and they're really puffy and fat and you gotta just, like, dunk them in Aquaphor, and you're kinda useless for a little bit," he said.

While most of his tattoos will be gone by the end of the process, there are still several that he plans to keep around, including all of his Sopranos ink, a "momtattoo" in honor of his mother Amy Waters Davidson and his father's ID number. His dad, New York City firefighter Scott Davidson, died during the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Around four years after first starting the process, Davidson explained that all of the tattoos on his hands and neck are "completely gone" as is most of the ink on his arms, but he sill has a ways to go before he's back to a (nearly) clean slate.

"It's a long journey. It's tough to be [making] a 10 year investment," he said. "That's a tough thing because we live in a world where instant gratification is something you can get 95% of the time. So it's a long game but I'm sticking by it."
