Ariana Grande is no stranger to performing on the road, but her upcoming tour is different than those of the past.

In a new chat with Nicole Kidman for Interview Magazine that published on Monday (November 24), the Wicked star expressed how excited she is go on her Eternal Sunshine tour next year even though it is not as expansive as other tours she has done previously, per People.

"We're doing a small amount compared to what I used to do back in the day. I think it's 45 shows," she said, before acknowledging that it is still a lot of shows. "It's not that small, but it's at least half of what I used to do."

The Eternal Sunshine tour will be Grande's first since 2019's Sweetener World Tour. In that time, she not only released two albums, Positions in 2020 and Eternal Sunshine in 2024, but she has also been focusing on her acting career. However, she is "excited" to hit the road again after her journey of "healing [her] relationship to music and touring."

"I spent a lot of time redoing my system when it comes to making music. With Eternal Sunshine, that felt like a very different experience for me," she said, adding, "So I've just been taking baby steps toward healing my relationship to music and touring, and I think my time with Glinda [in Wicked] and with acting really helped me build the strength to be able to do that. But I can't express how grateful I am. I think it just held some traumas for me before, and I feel those dissipating, and that is such an extraordinarily beautiful thing."

Grande announced her Eternal Sunshine tour in August, revealing the list of cities she is going to starting in June 2026, but she recently gave fans a warning that it could be her "last hurrah" for a "long time."
