Chipotle Plans To Open A Healthier Fast Food Restaurant In Santa Monica

Chipotle Mexican Grill is planning on opening Farmesa, a spinoff restaurant, at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica so customers can have a healthier fast-food restaurant option.

Now customers won't be able to sit down at a dining room because Farmesa will be operated through a ghost kitchen, which is a place that only makes food for online deliveries. So in order to get food from Farmesa, customers will need to visit the onsite kiosks at the Kitchen United Mix on 1315 3rd. St. in Santa Monica or can other from the Kitchen United website, DoorDash or Uber Eats.

One of the food options customers can expect are bowls, which come with protein, green or grain, two sides and choice of 5 sauces along with a topping, and range from $11.95 - $16.25. Some other items on the menu will include classic Santa Maria-style grilled tri-tip steak, everything spice-crusted ora king salmon, whipped potatoes, golden beets, sprouted cauliflower and sweet potato chips. Farmesa officially opens up in March but there will be a soft launch later this month. Click here for more.
