Chappell Roan has a new special someone in her life and it's anything but casual.

During a March 25 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the "Red Wine Supernova" singer revealed to host Alex Cooper that she is in a new relationship and has been dating someone for six months after meeting "through a friend," per People. When Cooper asked a smiling Roan if the romance was "casual," a reference to a song of the same name on her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Roan confirmed it was the opposite.

"No. It's serious. I'm very in love," she said.

The "Good Luck, Babe!" hitmaker also said that she has been dating her current partner since before her career really took off last year, noting that dating after her fame skyrocketed would feel like a "nightmare."

"I'm scared. I don't trust anyone," she said. "Any new person that I am texting, I'm like, I'm assuming they will screenshot this and send it to someone else. That's why I can't."

Though she's happily in a relationship, Roan is still a "pro-single" advocate and encouraged people to learn how to be okay with themselves outside of a relationship.

"Have a great time alone. Find out for yourself if you can 100% be okay alone before you date," she said. "That's what I found out. I had a great time when I was single. And I know that I will be okay. And now I have an awesome time that I'm with someone."
