J Balvin had an all-star team of artists join him for his performance at the MTV VMAs.

On Sunday night, September 7, the Colombian superstar hit the stage at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards at the UBS Arena in Long Island, N.Y., following a memorable introduction from GloRilla. Balvin kicked off his performance with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez. The trio brought the club to the VMAs stage and had everyone dancing to their hit collaboration "Zun Zun." Balvin kept the party going by performing his song "Noventa" with DJ Snake. The French DJ played the record from his bodega-inspired booth while Balvin performed on an oversized Timberland boot.

J Balvin blessed the world with a stunning performance of two hits from his recent project, Mixteip. The 13-time VMA nominee dropped 12 tracks, including "KLK" with Omega El Fuerte and "Uuu" with Stormzy. The project also comes with fresh collaborations with Jay Wheeler and Gilberto Santa Rosa. It's Balvin's first project since he dropped his JOSE album in 2021.

Earlier in the night, J Balvin also had the honor of introducing Ricky Martin before the legendary singer delivered a medley of his hits. Martin performed songs like "Livin' La Vida Loca" and "Maria" before Jessica Simpson presented him with the first-ever Latin Icon Award. While on the red carpet, Balvin called Martin "an icon" and a "sexy motherf****r."
