It was rumored a while ago that Forever 21 was planning on filing for Bankruptcy and today, it's official. Due to low sales, Forever 21 is planning on closing between 300-350 locations. A majority of the store closings will take place in Europe and Asia but they're saying up to 178 locations will close in the US.
In a letter to customers, the company said, "We do however expect a significant number of these stores will remain open and operate as usual, and we do not expect to exit any major markets in the US". At this time, there is no word if any of the Pittsburgh locations will close.
